Do we make all our own drinks?

Yes we do, all of them are pressed, mixed and bottled at our own dedicated plant at Belvoir in sunny Leicestershire.

Why do they not go off in the bottle?

We gently pasteurise each bottle after sealing it, so this kills all the bugs and then it is safe for you to drink. This is just the same as how they treat milk. It does not harm the goodness and taste of the product and stops it going off.

How long does is a piece of string?

As long as you cut it to.

What is the shelf-life of Belvoir Cordials, Pressés and Good Stuff?

Cordials: The regular cordials last up to eighteen months unopened and for up to about two months after opening if they are kept in the fridge as we recommend. There are NO PRESERVATIVES in any of our cordials so they are 100% natural but because of this if you leave them out of the fridge they will start to ferment gradually and in hot weather a bit faster. They are concentrated and will last you for ages so do remember to keep them in the fridge. They taste cool when they come out too which is good. Pressés: These have a life of 18 months after they have been made. They are made from 100% natural ingredients, truly "100% good" and are preservative free so after opening keep them in the fridge and drink them in a few days, within four days anyway.

Good Stuff: These are 50% pressed juice and again there are no preservatives so they have only 1 year's life and after opening keep them in the fridge and drink within three to four days as well.

Do your drinks contain sugar?

Belvoir Good Stuff range - NO these do not, these are sweetened with a bit of grape juice and the fruit juice itself is sweet so they don't need sugar as well.

Belvoir Cordial range - Yes they do contain quite a bit of sugar as they are syrups but they are designed to be diluted up to 10-1 so that is not surprising. The amount of calories is on the back label and declared when diluted as suggested, as well as for the neat cordial.

Belvoir Pressé range - Does contain added sugar, again the amount varies but it is declared on the back label of each one.

What is the meaning of life?

I guess we find out when it's over, but have a good life in the meantime!

Can you recycle your glass?

Yes, at present more glass is recycled than PET so it is actually greener to use glass bottles than plastic ones and we would really like all our customers to recycle our bottles. As part of our commitment to a sustainable environment we are constantly talking to our suppliers trying to get them to use more recycled glass. (They do use some already.)
