Making Belvoir Drinks

All Belvoir's Cordials are made and bottled at Belvoir in our own works where quality in every aspect of the operation remains of paramount importance, from raw materials to cleanliness to quality control.

Our fruit

We use real fruit from local fruit farmers and highly reputed importers of, for instance, fresh Ginger and fresh Lemon Grass. Wherever possible we squeeze, crush, press, cook or infuse the raw fruits and flowers ourselves to keep their freshness and taste:
For example we squeeze all the fruit juice for the Summer Berry and Organic Blackcurrant Cordials in a sophisticated American fruit press; we cook the raw Ginger in a pressure cooker to get our unique taste in the Ginger Cordial and we infuse all the fresh elderflowers in our own unique way to get the best of their taste. (We only use each elderflower once, whereas some imitators use them over and over to try and eke them out.) All our raw materials are of the finest quality and they are rigorously examined and checked before use.

Sometimes we buy fruit squeezed by someone else, like our friends in the Apple Orchards who squeeze apple juice the whole time and send it to us overnight, chilled and fresh for us to use. Sometimes we buy fruit from overseas such as Alphonso Mango juice for our Passion Fruit & Mango Cordial but we figure you the customer deserve the best so we are shameless in hunting down good fruit wherever we can find it!

Quality control

We achieved EFSIS/BRC accreditation for our quality system in January 2004 and since then have succeeded in renewing this accreditation every year, including 2007. This was a major achievement for our team and vindicates our rigorous approach to quality in everything we do. Checks are made at every stage of the making process and our drinks are not sent out unless they are in top condition.
